2006 was an interesting year for biotech with many companies still suffering from a negative response from the overly-cautious FDA or negative trial data. This was off-set by increased M&A activity towards the end of the year, which we believe will continue in 2007.

For 2007, we see numerous binary events that will have a significant impact on the developing companies, and consequently, we chose to focus this year’s Outlook report on drugs with major upcoming catalysts.
