JP Morgan Conference Review

The 29th annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference was held in San Francisco, CA from January 10-13, 2011. A list of events and catalysts that were announced or updated at the conference is included in this report.

Key catalysts included in JP Morgan coverage:

  • Bydureon (AMLN, ALKS, LLY) tQT study to initiate in the first quarter and will complete by the end of year to allow for filing of a response to the CRL by year end
  • LymphoStat-B subQ (HGSI, AZN, GSK) for SLE to enter Phase III in 2011
  • An sBLA filing for VEGF Trap-Eye (REGN, Bayer) in central retinal vein occlusion expected in the second half of 2011
  • Data from the remaining Phase III program for dapagliflozin (BMY, AZN) for type 2 diabetes expected at 2011 ADA meeting (June 24-28)
  • Phase II Hepatitis C data on BMS-790052, BMS-650032 and PEG-Interferon lambda (BMY) expected at 2011 EASL (March 30 – April 3) or AASLD (November 4-8) meetings
  • An NDA filing for oral INCB18424 (INCY, NVS) in myeloproliferative disorders planned for the second quarter of 2011 with an FDA advisory panel meeting anticipated in the second half of 2011
  • Results from the confirmatory, PRE-SURGE II, and supporting safety, RE-SURGE, Phase III studies of Arcalyst (REGN) anticipated in the first quarter of 2011
  • Initiation of a confirmatory Phase III study of Folotyn (ALTH, IDIS) for NHL expected during the first half of 2011
  • Response to Non-Approvable Letter for Firazyr (SHPGY, SNY) in HAE expected in the first half of 2011, possibly the first quarter
  • Top line data from the Phase III ARISTOTLE study of Eliquis (BMY, PFE) for SPAF expected during mid-2011
  • Data from Phase III SERAPHIN study of macitentan in PAH expected in the fourth quarter of 2011
