Hepatitis C Advisory Panel

April 29, 2011

The Antiviral Drugs Advisory Committee met to discuss the safety and efficacy of Victrelis and Telaprevir for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C genotype 1 infection, in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin in adult patients with compensated liver disease who are previously untreated or who have failed previous therapy.

The committee had a positive unanimous vote recommending both Victrelis and Telaprevir for approval. Eighteen members voted to recommend Victrelis and eighteen members also voted to recommend Telaprevir.

Included in this PDF document are our analyses of the previous two days’ committee meetings and the briefing documents. We also are providing a breakdown of how each panel member voted as well as his/her comments during the discussion session. Additionally, we are providing a calendar of upcoming catalysts for the Hepatitis C market.
