January 08, 2019
Migraine is a common, disabling, and recurring complex neurological disorder with a genetic component, characterized by severe headache co-occurring with nausea, vomiting, and other symptoms, all of which have gradual onset. Migraines can last from a few hours to a few days. The process by which migraine develops is poorly understood. Current research suggests that there is a genetic predisposition to migraine. Common co-morbidities for migraine include psychiatric conditions such as anxiety and depression.
