2026 Biomedtracker Datamonitor Healthcare Post-ICPR report
July 16, 2026
The OPEN Foundation’s biennial Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research (ICPR) convened June 4–6, 2026, in Haarlem, Netherlands, bringing together experts from all corners of the psychedelic community. A key theme throughout the conference was the challenge of advancing psychedelics in a way that balances scientific rigor with cultural responsibility. Speakers emphasized the need to move beyond DEI rhetoric toward meaningful inclusion, particularly through greater recognition of indigenous knowledge and its role in shaping the field. At the same time, concerns emerged that the rapid progress of late-stage psilocybin programs toward commercialization is outpacing the readiness of regulators, payers, and healthcare systems, with unresolved questions around reimbursement, workforce training, and equitable patient access.
This report covers talks across three key themes.
Clinical Research presents trial data on psilocybin, LSD, MDMA, and ketamine from a range of indications, including a dedicated section on negative trials.
Diversity, Culture, and Context captures information on sex-based research gaps, indigenous knowledge systems, and the cross-cultural adaptation of psychedelic-assisted therapy models.
Global Policy and Implementation reviews regulatory and reimbursement landscapes across the world.
