This UK-based key opinion leader (KOL) opines on the current treatment landscape in multiple sclerosis (MS). The KOL discusses patient classification, treatment initiation strategies, and strong preference for high-efficacy therapies over platform treatments. The KOL also provides a detailed overview of disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) across relapsing and progressive MS subtypes, sharing prescribing patterns and approximate patient numbers from his large MS service. On pipeline therapies, the KOL talks on the BTK inhibitors, identifying fenebrutinib as the most promising candidate contrasting it with the disappointing outcomes from evobrutinib and the mixed results from tolebrutinib.
