The Annual European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress was held in Madrid, Spain from October 23 to October 27, 2026. Antibody-drug conjugates once again featured heavily, from sacituzumab tirumotecan in EGFR-mutated NSCLC and endometrial cancer, to izalontamab brengitecan in HR+/HER2- breast cancer and CLDN18.2-directed ADCs in gastric cancer. Imdelltra plus Imfinzi improved overall survival as first-line maintenance in ES-SCLC, VOLGA added a Padcev-based perioperative regimen in cisplatin-ineligible MIBC, and INTerpath-001 became the first positive Phase III trial of an individualized mRNA cancer therapy. Not all results were positive, with KEYNOTE-866 failing to improve EFS in MIBC and SigVie-002 missing its overall survival endpoint in NSCLC.
