Multiple Sclerosis (MS) KOL Interview - US, Northeast

July 24, 2026

This US-based key opinion leader (KOL) offers perspectives on the current treatment landscape in multiple sclerosis (MS). The KOL discusses MS patient classification across subtypes and provides detailed estimates of treatment rates within each category. He examines prescribing considerations for disease-modifying therapies (DMTs), including the shift toward high-efficacy treatments at diagnosis, payer-driven access barriers, and the persistence of legacy platform therapies among stable patients. The KOL also addresses the role of anti-CD20s, S1Ps, natalizumab, teriflunomide, and fumaric acid esters, as well as biosimilar dynamics and the 340B hospital program. He shares his views on BTK inhibitors as likely niche rather than market-moving agents and offers scepticism around CAR-T therapy and vidofludimus calcium.

This interview was conducted on February 26,2026.
